Our vision was and is, to give Upstate NY first class sales, service and support on a rapid response basis for all of our Customers and Vendors . We maintain a professional support staff enabling customers and vendors to get a live person on the phone during our normal business hours, (7:30am-5:00PM Monday-Friday).
SPM focuses on Vendors who are “best in Class”. We believe selling quality is a better business practice than selling based on the lowest price.
To support the “Best in Class” products requires a substantial investment in technical and sales training events. SPM invests in and hosts multiple training events across all the cities in the territory on a regular basis.
In order to be close to our customers, we maintain two sales offices in Rochester and Albany. Upstate NY is over 300 miles in width. Having two offices allows us more face time instead of more drive time.
SPM is unique in the account base we serve. Our manpower allows us to have close relationships with National Distributors and Retail Chains. We also have close ties with AV Specialists, AV Integrators, and small Custom Installers. All of our relationships are built on trust, support and integrity.
Over the years SPM has grown and changed as the Consumer Electronics business has evolved. In 2001 SPM entered the C.I. distribution business supporting AV Integrators and Cedia Installers offering standard overnight shipment on all instock products.
We are proud to support a 5,000 square foot Office Warehouse complex stocking everything needed for a complete Home Theater/Whole House AV installation, including lighting control, whole house automation and digital convergence and Networking. We also support the state of the art in Automotive sound and Navigation systems.
SPM is focused on finding the new accounts entering the industry and helping them grow. SPM is also focused on the larger mature accounts providing them with the high levels of service they need to run their business.
At the end of the day, we believe success is 20% Inspiration and 80% Perspiration.
Sales, Training, Service and Support are the keystones of the SPM organization.
